WACO, Texas (KWTX) — Baylor Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Mack Rhoades is on “a leave of absence for personal reasons,” starting on November 12, 2025, according to Baylor University.
The University says they will not be commenting further at this time.
According to Yahoo Sports, Baylor is appointing co-interim Athletic Directors Jovan Overshown and Cody Hall.
Baylor University previously investigated Rhoades for an alleged incident involving a player and assistant coach during the Arizona State game on Sept. 20.
According to an Outkick report, Rhoades allegedly approached tight end Michael Trigg before kickoff and used profanity while asking why he was wearing a yellow shirt. The game was promoted as a blackout, and players were wearing all black uniforms.
