BURLINGTON, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - Authorities say that nobody is hurt but one tenant has been displaced after a car damaged a two-story building in the Old North End.

According to the Burlington Fire Department, they first heard about the incident at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, and when they arrived, the car had already backed out of the building.

Burlington's city engineer decided to reinforce the damaged building so that most tenants could safely return - though one person, whose apartment was more affected, had to find another place to stay for the time being.

The driver of the car that reportedly hit the building stayed at the scene, leaving their car and receiving medical evaluation. A social worker from the Howard Center also provided support to the tenants affected.
