TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa just added another academic program.

The UA Board of Trustees has approved the new UA School of Leadership and Policy. The school will offer undergraduate and graduate degrees.

UA president Dr. Peter Mohler says the School of Leadership and Policy will focus on ‘ethical leadership, innovative thinking and evidence-based policymaking.’

“We’ve had an outpouring of students who are interested in leadership today. For every student that’s in government institute for scholarship, we see 10 others who can’t get in so there’s really an imminent need right now to develop leaders. We’re going to be producing future leaders at the University of Alabama and to be able to have a formal program, a formal school right in the center
