After being left out for the majority of the Asia Cup and the first two games of the current series, Arshdeep made a strong statement with a three-wicket haul in the third T20I and followed it up with a crucial spell of 1/22 in three overs in the fourth fixture.
His impressive show with the ball served as a much-needed reminder for the team management, who appear to have overlooked India's World Cup hero. Despite being the country's most successful T20I bowler, with 105 scalps from just 67 innings, Arshdeep was treated like any ordinary bowler and made to warm the bench.
