There will be skydivers.

After it was originally thought the skydivers from Skydive Elsinore were not going to be able to be a part of this year's Porterville Veterans Parade due to the government shutdown, details have been worked out for the skydivers to participate after all.

“They're going to be jumping,” said Porterville Mayor Greg Meister.

So the skydivers as they have done for several years will be landing on Main Street between City Hall and Centennial Park with the American flag just before the parade begins. The 107 th annual Porterville Veterans Parade will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 11, Veterans Day, in downtown Porterville.
