CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) Someone stabbed 11-year-old Jamella Davis to death in her Garden Valley apartment on East 79th Street near Kinsman Road in Cleveland on November 7, 1985.
It has now been 40 years since Jamella’s mother found her body on the living room floor.
Her mother told police she was asleep upstairs when it happened.
Cleveland police have been working on the case for four decades, but still have no suspect.
“And it’s frustrating because we’ve had leads and it’s just gotten nowhere, unfortunately. And now we’re kind of at a block where we’re needing assistance to try to see if anybody could redraw their memory on this incident,” said Officer Mariah Rodriguez with the Cleveland Division of Police.
Jamella was last seen walking her little brother from her home to Anton Grdina
