Tipra Motha Party (TMP) chief Pradyot Kishore Debbarman on Friday met Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and discussed the progress of the Tiprasa accord, saying the talks were “moving ahead positively”. The accord, signed earlier this year in New Delhi through a tripartite agreement among the Centre, the state government and Tipra Motha, was aimed at addressing the socio-political concerns of the indigenous communities. However, its implementation reportedly slowed down due to differences among stakeholders.
After the meeting, Debbarman described the discussion as “fruitful” and said both sides shared their perspectives in detail. “We presented our points clearly and the Chief Minister gave a patient hearing. It is encouraging that the consultation process has begun on a positive note,
