Four elementary school students hurt in bus crash in Livingston Parish

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Four Livingston Parish students were taken to a local hospital after a bus crash on Friday.

According to Livingston Public Schools, a bus was leaving from Freshwater Elementary around 3:25 p.m. A car entering Cockerham Road from the intersection of Anderson Road struck the bus on the door-side panel.

Four students were taken to be evaluated, while the remaining 24 students were taken back to school to be picked up by their parents. No injuries by the bus driver or car driver were reported.

The Denham Springs Police Department is investigating the incident.
