It's not that deep.
What do I mean by that?
I read a piece this week by the Gazette-Mail's Ben Fields about his experience with adults in youth sports.
It gave an interesting, yet disturbing, perspective on how seriously certain people take youth sports, from youth leagues up to the high school level.
As a sports reporter, I normally sit in the press box, and there are times when the windows are open, which allows me to hear many of the things that are said at high school events.
Folks, it's not that deep.
In sports, life or whatever, there will be a winner and a loser.
Now, many who know me are aware of my latest venture -- a youth league basketball coach.
I will sound contradictory and, maybe, a hypocrite with what I'm about to say here.
