OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) - Owensboro police are investigating what they call a string of car break-ins and vandalism throughout the city. Police say they received dozens of reports of vandalism and break-ins in a 48-hour span. One of those reports is at Vass Automotive on Frederica Street, where cars ready for the road are now waiting for repairs.

"Yesterday, we were walking through the lot, taking some pictures of some new inventory and we started noticing some of them had busted windshields," says Vass Automotive Sales Manager Lucas McKay. "And after two or three came up, it was kind of obvious that this wasn't just how they came in."
