OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEVV) — The Owensboro Police Department is investigating a string of car break-ins and vandalism across the city.
On November 6, officers responded to Vass Automotive on Frederica Street, where about 20 cars had their windshields broken overnight.
The following morning, more than 20 additional reports of similar incidents were filed at local hotels. Some victims reported stolen items, including firearms.
Detectives are actively investigating these cases as more reports come in. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Owensboro Police Department or Owensboro Crime Stoppers.
Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles and remove valuables, especially firearms, when leaving cars unattended.
