Morristown West’s season ended the same way it started: with a weather delay bringing an early end to a blowout loss.

In the first round of the Class 5A state playoffs, Powell did what it wanted in a 44-0 shutout of the Trojans.

“It's kind of disappointing, to be honest about it,” West head coach Alvin Sanders said. “Just the lack of urge, the lack of intensity, the lack of want to, for that matter, it kind of showed. We knew it was going to be an uphill climb in the battle, but I atleast felt like our guys were gonna come out and fight and kind of go represent us the way we want to be represented.
