DANDRIDGE - Another successful season for the Jefferson County Patriots came to an unfortunate end Friday night as they dropped a 31-20 decision to Bradley Central in the opening round of the TSSAA playoffs.
The Patriots wrap things up at 8-3. The Bears also move to 8-3 and will play on in the post-season as they will be at Murfreesboro Oakland next week.
“They are a talented group and tonight was by far the best I have seen them play all year,” Jefferson County head coach Spencer Riley said of Bradley Central. “We tip our hats to them. We said they would have to make big plays in the passing game to beat us and we were in coverage and they made plays.”
Both teams’ first scores were set up by turnovers. AJ Westfield picked off a Patriots’ pass and took it to the one for the Bears. Brayd
