Marko Mitrovic, who coached United States teams to the quarter-finals of the Paris Olympics and this year's FIFA under-20 World Cup, was named coach of the New England Revolution on Friday.
The 47-year-old Serbian replaced Caleb Porter, who was dropped in September after the Revolution finished 9-16 with nine draw for 36 points, 11th in the Eastern Conference and out of the MLS playoffs for the second year in a row.
