LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A persistent bell could be heard in the final recording from inside the cockpit of a UPS plane just seconds before it crashed, according to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
The cargo jet crashed south of Louisville’s international airport on Tuesday, striking two businesses and killing at least 14 people including the plane’s crew.
Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg said the 14th victim was found at the crash site Friday evening.
UPS has identified the plane's three crew members as Captain Richard Wartenberg, First Officer Lee Truitt and International Relief Officer Captain Dana Diamond.
In an update Friday afternoon, NTSB member Todd Inman said investigators have a “working theory” as to what the bell could be, however he said it needs to be corroborate
