BROOK PARK, Ohio -- An Edgehurst Drive woman stole at least one package of Warheads Extreme Sour Hard Candy from Marc’s Deeper Discount Store, 5725 Smith Road, at about noon Oct. 23.

A Marc’s security guard saw the woman hide the candy in her purse and leave the store without paying.

He followed her outside and recorded the woman on his cell phone entering a Mazda.

On the cell phone video, the woman was heard saying, “I didn’t steal the candy.”

A male in the Mazda’s driver’s seat said, “Get in the car, Mom, I got dope on me.”

They drove away.

The video also included the Mazda’s license plate number. Police traced the plate number to an address on Edgehurst and drove there.

Police knocked on the home’s front door and asked for the woman. They were told she wasn’t home.
