HERMON -- No. 3 Hermon beat No. 6 Nokomis to advance to the Class C semifinals by a score of 30-6 on Friday night.
Sam Hopkins ran all over the Warriors in the first half as the Hawks got out to a early 14-0 lead.
Nokomis answered with a touchdown, but Hermon quickly answered with a score of their own.
In the second half, at the end of a Hermon drive that ate up the majority of the 3rd quarter, an Ethan Curtis pass was picked off by Kobey Almeida to give the Warriors some life.
However the Hawks would scoop up a fumble that led to a Ethan Garner field goal to put the cherry on top of the win.
Hermon will travel to take on No. 2 Leavitt in the C semifinals next Friday night.
