Time Out survey highlights what makes Mumbai’s spirit unmatched

Mumbai has added another title to its name. Already known as the City of Dreams, it has now been declared the happiest city in Asia for 2025 in a global survey conducted by the popular urban magazine Time Out. The city also secured an impressive fifth place on the worldwide list, ahead of major international destinations.

The survey gathered responses from over 18,000 urban residents across multiple countries and focused on what truly makes people happy in the cities they live in. Participants were asked about nightlife, food, culture, walkability, accessibility, quality of life, community feeling, nature, art, and overall beauty.
