ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The first state championships of the high school season were held on Friday. The girls soccer title games for all three classifications took place at the UNM soccer complex.

The Eagles jumped out to a fast start and scored both of its goals before halftime. With the win, Eldorado claimed its 13th state title and first since 2022.
4A • #1 Hope Christian - 2 • #2 Albuquerque Academy - 1
Hope took an early lead but Academy found an equalizer at the start of the second half. The game went to overtime and the Huskies clinched the victory with a goal in the 87th minute. The win marks a 5th consecutive straight championship for Hope and the 10th in program history.
