Ohio State lost all four starting defensive linemen to the NFL last year — one of whom landed with the Steelers in Jack Sawyer — but you wouldn’t know it from the way the Buckeyes are dominating up front again in 2025.
Just ask Penn State running back Nick Singleton, who was held to 18 yards on six carries in last week’s 38-14 loss. Kaytron Allen fared slightly better, but still only averaged 3.6 yards per rush. And the biggest reason might be the play of Buckeyes defensive tackle Kayden McDonald, a junior listed at 6-foot-3, 326 pounds out of the same part of Atlanta as the Heywards.
