MINOT — With 48 seconds to play in the game, Minot North receiver William Bentley hauled in a 27-yard TD reception that proved to be the deciding factor in a 21-17 win over Central Cass in the North Dakota Division 2A football semifinals on Friday.
The win marked the first time in program history the Sentinels will play in the Dakota Bowl.
Central Cass receiver Maisen Olson hauled in a 9-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Brody Kegley at 11:12 to lead 17-14.
Minot North quarteback Brayden Blikre scampered 4 yards into the end zone at 6:09 to play in the third quarter to make it 14-10.
Olson snared a 24-yard TD catch at 8:52 left in the third for 10-7 Central Cass lead.
