Gandhinagar: The state health department has suspended the licences of two private hospitals empanelled with the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) and has issued notices to two others for irregularities.
Lack of facilities for PICU (paediatric ICU) and NICU (neonatal ICU), absence of MBBS doctors, recovery of expired medicines , unqualified nursing staff, non-compliance with infection control guidelines, and absence of BU permission and fire safety NOC were the reasons for suspending and issuing show-cause notices to the hospitals.
The hospitals suspended from PMJAY-MA empanelment are Deep Children Hospital and Neonatal Care in Godhra, and Kashima Hospital in Bharuch.
The hospitals issued show-cause notices are Maa Children and General Hospital in Kalol, Panchmahal, and Maa
