One win led to two celebrations for Episcopal Academy field hockey Friday.

Rebecca Block scored a goal and an assist to lead EA to a 4-2 win over Agnes Irwin, the teams’ rivalry day meeting doubling as the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association semifinal.

The win moves EA into the PAISAA final Tuesday against Inter-Ac champ Notre Dame. The Irish, who beat Hill School 3-0 Thursday, won both regular-season meetings.

Anna Lunn, Sydney Powell and Grace VanderWaag scored for EA. Caidyn Schmidt made four saves. Payton Smith added three.

Girls Soccer

Episcopal Academy topped Agnes Irwin, 3-1, to complete a 12-0 run through the Inter-Ac League. The Churchwomen conceded just three goals in 12 league games, outscoring opponents 37-3.
