Serbian lawmakers passed a special law clearing the way for a proposed real estate project that would be financed by investment company linked to Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner despite public opposition and legal hurdles. This comes after days of heated debate and street protests of the plan to revamp a landmark ex-Yugoslav military complex in Belgrade. Serbia’s government stripped the complex of its protected status and signed a 99-year-lease pact with Kushner-linked firm. PTI
