HEARNE, Texas (KBTX) - The Hearne Eagles end 2025 with a close 13-7 victory over the Normangee Panthers on Friday night at Wood Field.

Why did Hearne win? The Eagles defense was able to make key stops through the first half to keep Normangee scoreless.

Who stood out? Hearne quarterback, James Benford recorded two touchdowns in the Eagles win, one rushing and one passing.

What’s next? Both Hearne and Normangee will miss out on the playoff for 2025. The Eagles and Panthers both ending with a 2-8 overall record.
