Woodstock leaders are inviting residents to weigh in on the use of e-bikes in the city.
As e-bikes have become more popular, Woodstock officials have started discussions on how and where they should be used in the city.
On Oct. 20, staff from Woodstock's Community Development department gave a presentation to the mayor and city council on how other local governments are addressing e-bike regulations, and asked council members for direction on next steps.
“E-bikes are becoming a source of concern in cities across the country due to the use of sidewalks by e-bike riders, dangerous trick or stunt riding, and collisions with pedestrians and vehicles,” Community Development Director Melissa Sigmund said in a statement.
