Freshman Molly Mezak took a pass from Samantha Weston and fired a shot from the top of the 18 into the top-left corner of the net for the winning goal as second-seeded Midland Park rallied to defeat seventh-seeded Indian Hills, 3-2, in the North Jersey, Section 1, Group 2 quarterfinals in Midland Park.
Trailing 2-0 at halftime, Midland Park (20-2) rallied to tie the game behind two goals by Valentina Vitetta. Karleigh Detrick made four saves in the win.
Midland Park, winners of eight consecutive games, will host 14th-seeded Pascack Hills in the semifinals on Wednesday.
Ava Thompson and Logan Biernacki scored a goal each in the first half to give Indian Hills (11-13) a 2-0 lead. Sofia Medina made five saves.
