A new bakery specializing in croissants has opened in Worcester’s Tatnuck neighborhood.

The Yolk & Crumb officially opened on Nov. 1 at 1130 Pleasant St. and is owned by Milford husband and wife duo Matthew and Jutha Parent.

The bakery has become so popular the Parents sold out of baked goods three times in a row, according to Matthew Parent.

As such, the store is temporarily closed until Sunday, Nov. 9 to prepare new pastries for the upcoming week, according to their Facebook page . Matthew Parent said the online community has been very understanding about the situation.

“We prepared for a good amount of the stuff that we were expecting,” Jutha Parent told MassLive. “But the warm welcoming that the neighborhood and the people around here [gave] us was [unexpected].”
