Renato Panetta scored a goal and added an assist in the first half to lead Gill St. Bernard’s, the No. 2 seed in the NJSIAA North Jersey, Non-Public B tournament, to a 4-1 win against No. 10 seed Morristown-Beard.
The Knights scored three goals in the first half to take a commanding lead. JeanCarlo Sanchez and Andrew Smith joined Panetta on the scoresheet.
Aidan Conway pulled one back for Morristown-Beard in the second half, but Robbie Judd restored Gill St. Bernard’s three-goal lead minutes later.
Morristown-Beard finishes the season with a 4-13 record.
Gill St. Bernard’s (10-9-1) hosts No. 3 seed Wardlaw-Hartridge in the North Jersey, Non-Public B semifinal on Nov. 10. The Knights ended the Rams’ season in the same round last year.
