It’s the first weekend of the offseason, now officially a week past the end of the World Series. The world moves fast, and just as the champagne was drying and we were all catching our collective breath after Game 7 between the Dodgers and Blue Jays, the offseason began in earnest. Thirteen players were tendered qualifying offers earlier this week, and we also saw publications across the internet publishing their free agent rankings, signaling the unofficial start of free agency season. It may be some time until we get major moves coming down, but you never really know; the MLB GM meetings start in two days in Las Vegas, so perhaps the action starts as soon as Monday.
