In a candid media interaction on Saturday afternoon in the presence of senior police officials of South Haryana, state Director General of Police (DGP) O P Singh implored officers to be citizen-friendly in their interactions with alleged violators of traffic and other regulations.

Speaking at the Gurgaon Police Commissionerate, DGP Singh acknowledged the delay in the filing of First Information Reports (FIRs) for certain offences as well as the occasional overzealous checking of vehicles, and said corrective steps must always be taken in this regard.
