A 25-year-old woman in Sangareddy district of Telangana died by suicide due to myrmecophobia (fear of ants). Police said on Saturday that the woman was married in 2022 and has a three-year-old daughter.

On November 4, she was found hanging from a fan in her house. Before the incident, she left her daughter at a relative's house saying she was cleaning the house and would come back later to pick her up.

When her husband returned from work in the evening, he found the house door locked from the inside.

Upon breaking the door with neighbours' help, the woman was found dead inside. Police also found a suicide note at the scene in which she wrote-
