CHICAGO — Police are searching for answers on Saturday morning after a man was found shot to death inside a car on the city's Far South Side overnight.
According to police, the deadly shooting unfolded just after 10 p.m. in the 8800 block of South Lowe Avenue, in Auburn Gresham.
Officers were initially called to the scene following a report of a person shot in the area, and when they arrived, they found the victim, a 37-year-old man who had suffered two gunshot wounds to his chest, inside a vehicle.
The man was later taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Further investigation later indicated that the victim may have been shot at by multiple male offenders who fled the scene on foot.
