The New York Yankees aren’t just tweaking the outfield anymore. In fact, they’re bracing for a little something that could flip the depth chart right on its head. And it all starts with two familiar names: Cody Bellinger and Trent Grisham. Their possible returns, however, trigger one big question: who gets pushed out?

That’s where the story tightens. The Yankees dropped a $22 million qualifying offer on Grisham, and as NJ Advance Media’s Randy Miller reported, the club still wants Bellinger back even if Grisham signs. Meanwhile, three other teams are reportedly ready to push hard for Bellinger. But bringing both outfielders into the same clubhouse creates a logjam. Someone’s gotta move. And the surprising candidate is the very kid once hyped as the franchise’s future.
