BENGALURU: The Kadalekai Parishe, a popular groundnut festival, has kicked off at Malleswaram in the city and will run until November 10. The festival is being held in front of the historic Kadu Mallikarjuna Swami Temple.

The event was inaugurated by Endowment Minister Ramalinga Reddy and it will continue for three days. Another Kadalekai Parishe will be held in Basavanagudi from November 17 to 21.

The event is being held with great enthusiasm, and the police and civic authorities have made necessary arrangements for the safety and security of the visitors. The use of plastic has been banned at the event, and visitors are requested to bring their own bags.
