An employment centre for French-speaking residents was already having success before officially opening Friday in Sarnia.

Connexion Carrière Sarnia-Lambton has been established at the Centre communautaire francophone de Sarnia-Lambton community centre on Rapids Parkways with federal funding of $2 million over five years.

“We already have, roughly, around a dozen clients, and we’ve actually had two success stories,” said manager Richard Imbeault.

A ribbon-cutting for the employment service, which currently has four employees, was held Friday afternoon, during a job fair for bilingual workers.
