LONE OAK, Ky. (WSIL) -- A vehicle pursuit involving the McCracken County Sheriff's Office took place in the Lone Oak area around 8 p.m. on Friday, November 7. The sheriff's office said the suspect fired multiple rounds at deputies during the chase.
Authorities also said the suspect's vehicle crashed into a house in the 200 block of Lone Oak Road, ending the pursuit. The suspect was then taken to a local hospital and was later pronounced dead.
No one inside the house was reported with any injuries, and deputies were unharmed during the incident.
"I am proud of the deputies’ calm and professional demeanor throughout this incident," Sheriff Ryan Norman said. "They did a great job and performed exactly how I would want them to during this incident."
