PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was found guilty of smuggling a loaded gun in his underwear while being booked into jail after a traffic stop, authorities said.

On Thursday, a Washington County jury found Jerone Enrico Cuie guilty of being an inmate in possession of a weapon and other charges.

On Aug. 30, Beaverton police pulled Cuie over after they saw a forged registration tag on his vehicle, the Washington County District Attorney's Office said.

"Officers learned the defendant was driving with a suspended driver’s license and was also issued a detainer related to a felony probation violation," the Washington County DA said in a press release.
