Shillong, Nov 8: A two-day national seminar on ‘Craft, Culture, and Commerce of Cinema in North East India’ is scheduled to be held at the Golden Jubilee Auditorium, North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) on November 10 and 11.

The seminar aims for a critical exploration of the multifaceted role of cinema as an artistic practice, a socio-cultural force, and an economic enterprise. The primary objective of the seminar is to foster dialogue among filmmakers, academicians, cultural practitioners, policymakers and students to envision pathways for the growth and recognition of the cinema of North East India on both national and global platforms.
