Step aside, Miami and Vienna — Toronto ranks higher on the world stage, at least according to one research group.
Toronto has once again been named one of the world’s best cities to live in, ranking 17th on Resonance Consultancy’s annual “World’s Best Cities” list released this week.
The 2026 rankings place Toronto ahead of other notable global metropolises such as San Francisco, Milan and every other major Canadian city.
Vancouver was the next Canadian city on the list, placing at No. 41, while Montreal was at No. 45, Ottawa at No. 73, and Calgary making it in at No. 85.
Toronto dropped two spots from last year’s list, where it ranked 15th.
The rankings, according to Resonance, are based on three key factors : livability, lovability, and prosperity.
