Southern Miss quarterback Braylon Braxton has exited the game against Arkansas State on Nov. 8 with an apparent right knee injury.
Braxton, the Sun Belt preseason offensive player of the year, suffered a right knee injury following the Golden Eagles' (6-2, 4-0 Sun Belt) second drive of the game in the first quarter.
The senior quarterback ran for 16 yards past midfield with 9:40 in the first quarter, and his right knee hit the turf and appeared shaken up. Braxton then rushed up the middle on a 4th-and-1 on Arkansas State's 5-yard line, but was stuffed.
Braxton went into the training tent and came out with a brace on his right knee and was shown running on the sideline, but has not entered the game against the Red Wolves (5-4, 4-1) at Centennial Bank Stadium.
