SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Officers with the Springfield Police Department (SPD) responded to a fatal DWI crash at Campbell Avenue and Buena Vista Street at about 10:27 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7.

According to a police department news release, Colby Wickwar, 32, of Springfield, was driving a 2016 Toyota Camry and making a left turn to go east on Buena Vista when he drove into the path of a 2024 Honda motorcycle driven by Colin McEntire, 20, of Springfield.

McEntire was taken to a hospital, where he later died. Police said next of kin have been notified. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, the release said.

Wickwar was arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Police said the case has been presented to the Greene County prosecutor’s office
