BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Some North Dakota passengers are noticing the FAA’s move to reduce flights during the government shutdown.
Delta’s website shows two flight cancellations in both Williston and Bismarck to Minneapolis between Saturday and Monday. Minot has one Delta cancellation Sunday to Minneapolis.
United’s website shows no cancellations for those airports.
The FAA will continue to reduce airline operations the longer the shutdown goes. On Thursday, U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the reductions are necessary to address the strain on air traffic controllers who are working without a paycheck.
