Shillong, Nov 8: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma today inaugurated the new office building of the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) at Dakopgre, Tura, West Garo Hills.

The establishment of the new MPSC office is expected to facilitate examinations, interviews, and related recruitment activities for candidates from the Garo Hills region, reducing the need for travel to Shillong and ensuring greater accessibility and convenience for aspirants.

In his address, the Chief Minister emphasised that this office would significantly benefit the youth of Garo Hills. He said students faced the arduous task of traveling 10 to 15 hours overnight to Shillong to sit for their examinations and they would arrive fatigued, heading straight to the exam hall without any rest.
