HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Homicide detectives have opened a murder investigation after a body was found in Waipio late Friday night.

Police officers found the body of a man with apparent gunshot wounds at around 11:15 p.m.

The victim’s identity will be released by the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Police have not provided any information on a suspect.
