Pennsylvania State Police reported the crash occurred around 5 p.m. near Exit 6 when an eastbound sedan crossed the grass median and collided with a westbound SUV. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

The SUV, driven by 69-year-old William L. Magers of Glen Dale, West Virginia, also carried two passengers.

A woman was flown to a hospital with serious injuries, while a young boy was shaken but unharmed.
