A series of Hamilton police raids this week ended with the arrest of an alleged drug trafficker and the seizure of more than two kilograms of cocaine.

In a news release Friday, police said the Nov. 5 searches were part of an ongoing drug probe and involved a local home, business and storage locker.

Officers with the major drugs and gangs unit found 2.3 kilograms of cocaine, 671 grams of crack cocaine, 25 grams of a suspected cutting agent and an unspecified amount of Canadian currency, police said.

A 58-year-old Hamilton man was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.
