UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Indiana football pulled off an improbable comeback win over Penn State on Saturday afternoon for the program’s first win at Beaver Stadium.

The No. 2 Hoosiers (10-0, 7-0 Big Ten) put together a 10-play, 80-yard drive in the final two minutes with Omar Cooper Jr. scoring the go-ahead touchdown with 36 seconds to play. They escaped with a 27-24 win — their first win in 14 tries at the historic venue — after the Nittany Lions erased a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

Penn State running back Nicholas Singleton scored twice in the final 12 minutes, but IU’s defense came through with a much-needed stop to allow Fernando Mendoza to go to work.
