GREEN BAY — Bo Melton doesn’t know whether he’ll be the in-case-of-emergency-break-glass guy at wide receiver, but the Green Bay Packers wideout-turned-cornerback is ready if called upon.
“I don’t know yet,” Melton said Saturday afternoon, following the team’s final practice in advance of Monday night’s matchup between the Packers (5-2-1) and the defending Super Bowl-champion Philadelphia Eagles (6-2) at Lambeau Field. “But I definitely know what’s going on and definitely have been in the loop, for sure.”
What’s going on is the Packers find themselves in less-than-ideal circumstances, with three wide receivers — Matthew Golden (shoulder), Savion Williams (foot) and Dontayvion Wicks (calf) — all listed as questionable for the game.
