Shai Gilgeous-Alexander just dropped a bombshell on his team’s 2025 NBA title win. While most would be basking in the glory of a historic championship, SGA’s not fully satisfied.
In a Nov. 8 interview with the NY Times, he alluded that the Thunder’s title didn’t sit right with him because it wasn’t the team’s best basketball. Instead of celebrating the victory, Gilgeous-Alexander, who recently spoke about the terrifying home break-in incident, is focusing on something bigger: improvement.
Per the NBA MVP and Finals MVP, the Thunder were more dominant in the regular season than the playoffs. For him personally, the postseason performance didn’t measure up to his standards.
